How It Works

The content is created in the visual editor and does not require any coding skills. It is divided into sections by category (Website, Messages, etc.) and presented in a tree-like manner - in the form of folders, sub-folders and text files. You can work with HTML in a plain-text or visual mode (WYSIWYG), search the content database by a wide range of criteria, and much more.

All changes are applied in real time, and the latest content version can be viewed on your website right after the updates are committed to the server.

Translating Content

You can localize any element of your website and communication system by translating it into any number of languages. The intuitive interface allows you to visually mark different types of content: blank out portions excluded from translation, highlight untranslated texts, etc.

The system allows for flexible access rights distribution: a manager may be authorized to supervise and edit texts in all languages, and translators only have access to languages and options according to their permission level. The access settings can be flexibly tailored for each translator.

Content-Specific Approach

Every content category has its own usage-specific editing and managing options, and any custom content units that you might like to add can also have their individual tweaks. For example:

  • separate text fields for OG meta tags to adapt affiliate content for proper presentation on social media;
  • templates for different types of newsletters supporting HTML and graphics;
  • grouping of questions and answers in a FAQ section, etc.
Translation History and Versioning

You can review all the edits made to any text at any point in time and see who made which changes. You can roll back to an earlier version, whereas later edits will still remain in the history.

You can view history of a particular person’s actions as well as a single text’s revisions. Both are helpful when evaluating performance of your outsourced translators, proofreaders, etc. In a text’s “revision tree” you can compare any two edits, recent or old, and display the text’s history for all languages or for a selected language.

Statistics and Performance Calculation

The CMS has a word count meter that helps to calculate payments for your translators. The system has several mechanisms that enable you to get a quick total for any period of time even if your translator worked on multiple texts in assorted folders:

  • you can select random texts across all folders and calculate the amount of words in the selection;
  • you can calculate the amount of words for one or more whole folders;
  • you can check the number of words in any currently open text in real time.
  • The statistics are filtered by language and show not only words, but also the number of all texts translated by your freelancer or employee so you can evaluate the project's overall completion rate. In addition, you can adjust calculation to writing systems of different languages and count either words or characters (the latter would be convenient when working with some Asian languages).
